Salt Lake City

So, on Sunday, after sleeping for about 5.5 hours, Shannon and I decided to go down to Salt Lake City to go to the Christmas Concert in Conference Center. Scott, Jan, Miles, Grandma, and Grandpa were already down there in the apartment and ready to go to the concert as well. We finally got down there and met up with the fam. We got some pretty good seats, (thanks to the random assignment the Church Event people use now). We sat on the floor, about 9 rows back from the front. If we had been there earlier, we could have been a little closer.

Right before the concert started, President Hinckley, Monson and Eyring all came into the center. I love it when it goes completely quiet when they arrive, it's a testimony builder to latter-day prophets everytime I hear that. All three of them came down and sat right in front of us, granted they were about 8 rows in front of us, but it was really neat to be that close.

The concert was great, and we all enjoyed it. Well, Miles told me later that he would have rather listened to something else, but I just take that as the teenage talking inside of him. The singers were the "King's Singers" and they were really good! After the show, we went back to the apartment and spent some time with Grandma/Grandpa and ate some lunch. It was really fun, and eventhough the ride home seemed like forever to Shannon, it was fun to be out of Pocatello atleast for 16 hours and be together.
